Beer Based Cheese Fondu

- 1 bottle of beer shopping list
- 3 cups of sharp cheddar cheese shredded shopping list
- 1 cup swiss cheese shredded shopping list
- 1 teaspoon dried ground mustard shopping list
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon of flour (reg or self rising either will do) shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon minced garlic shopping list
- FOR DIPPING: shopping list
- 1 loaf of French bread cubed shopping list
- 1 loaf of rye bread cubed shopping list
- 1 loaf of pumpernickel bread cubed shopping list
- assorted fresh veggies ( celery, carrots, cauliflower) shopping list
How to make it
- Bring water in a double boiler to a hard simmer
- shred cheeses and mix together with the flour set aside
- in the top of the double boiler add the bottle of beer and let it simmer
- slowly add in the cheese and flour mixture whisking to mix and melt
- when all the cheese has been added and mixture is smooth turn heat down to a slow simmer
- add the ground mustard, worcestershire, and garlic
- stirring occassionally.
- use the bread and fresh veggies to dip in the fondu
- enjoy.
- you may make this recipe in a fondu pot or use it to keep te cheese warm.
