Beer Based Cheese Fondu Recipe
This recipe is a great party favorite. It can be doubled or trippled easliy. is good for supper just add a salad.

Ingredients
  • 1 bottle of beer
  • 3 cups of sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup swiss cheese shredded
  • 1 teaspoon dried ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon of flour (reg or self rising either will do)
  • 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
  • FOR DIPPING:
  • 1 loaf of french bread cubed
  • 1 loaf of rye bread cubed
  • 1 loaf of pumpernickel bread cubed
  • assorted fresh veggies ( celery, carrots, cauliflower)

Directions
  1. Bring water in a double boiler to a hard simmer
  2. shred cheeses and mix together with the flour set aside
  3. in the top of the double boiler add the bottle of beer and let it simmer
  4. slowly add in the cheese and flour mixture whisking to mix and melt
  5. when all the cheese has been added and mixture is smooth turn heat down to a slow simmer
  6. add the ground mustard, worcestershire, and garlic
  7. stirring occassionally.
  8. use the bread and fresh veggies to dip in the fondu
  9. enjoy.
  10. you may make this recipe in a fondu pot or use it to keep te cheese warm.
