How to make it

  • Combine all the marinade ingredients and pour over salmon fillets in an oven-proof baking dish. Let the fish marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes or so.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F/200°C
  • Roast the salmon for 20 minutes or so, spooning marinade over the top occasionally.
  • Broil for 3-4 minutes to crisp the top.

    Really simple, but totally delicious. I didn't have any mirin or shallots on hand, but it still turned out great.

    hi, great recipe, i didn't have any of the sesame stuff but it tasted great with a store bought ginger asian dressing added to it
