Ingredients
  • Ingredients:
  • 4 salmon filets, skin on
  • Marinade:
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Mirin (rice wine – you can substitute some sherry if you can’t find Mirin)
  • 1 large shallot, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small piece of fresh ginger (about 1”), chopped

Directions
  1. Combine all the marinade ingredients and pour over salmon fillets in an oven-proof baking dish. Let the fish marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes or so.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F/200°C
  3. Roast the salmon for 20 minutes or so, spooning marinade over the top occasionally.
  4. Broil for 3-4 minutes to crisp the top.

Hi, great recipe, i didn't have any of the sesame stuff but it tasted great with a store bought ginger asian dressing added to it

thanks for the recipe! :)

Really simple, but totally delicious. I didn't have any mirin or shallots on hand, but it still turned out great.
