Simple Spicy Collard Greens

- 1 large bunch collard greens shopping list
- 1 large red bell pepper shopping list
- 1 medium Orange bell pepper shopping list
- 1 medium yellow bell pepper shopping list
- 1 can kidney beans shopping list
- 1 can garbanzo beans shopping list
- 1 small head garlic shopping list
- 1/2 yellow onion shopping list
- 1/2 stick butter (or non-dairy substitute to make the dish vegan) shopping list
- black pepper shopping list
- cayenne powder shopping list
- salt shopping list
How to make it
- Chop the collards into thin strips
- Chop the peppers, garlic, and onion
- Drain the beans.
- Lightly coat a large pasta pot with butter and add greens. They probably won't all fit at first, so just keep adding more as they cook down. Stir.
- Add onions and garlic. Stir. Make sure the greens are starting to get soft before moving on to the next step.
- Add peppers and beans. Stir.
- Add black pepper, cayenne, and salt according to taste, although I recommend making black pepper the most pronounced of the three. Stir.
