Red Flannel Hash Recipe
Every region/ country has its own version of corned beef hash. This was my favourite winter-time supper when I was little, and its still in my top 3 comfort go-tos.

Ingredients
  • 1 Tb Butter, Margarine, Bacon Drippings or Oil
  • 1/2 med Onion, diced
  • 1 LB (500 gr) Frozen Hash Browns
  • 1-12 oz can Corned Beef
  • 1-14 oz can Harvard Style Beets
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Directions
  1. In a heavy or cast-iron frying pan, over med heat, melt fat. Add onion and fry 2 min. or til golden. Add Hash Browns and continue frying for another 15 minutes or til desired brown-ness. Remove Corned Beef from can by scraping a fork across the surface to break it up. Add Beets and stir. Season to to taste. Cover and heat through for approx. 3 minutes, stirring at least once.
