CLASSIC CRANBERRY NUT BREAD

- CLASSIC CRANBERRY nut bread shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 3/4 cup orange juice shopping list
- 1 tablespoon grated orange peel shopping list
- 2 tablespoons shortening shopping list
- 1 egg, well beaten shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups Fresh or frozen cranberries, coarsely chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts shopping list
- Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. shopping list
- Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda in a medium mixing bowl. Stir in orange juice, orange peel, shortening and egg. Mix until well blended. Stir in cranberries and nuts. Spread evenly in loaf pan. shopping list
- Bake for 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a rack for 15 minutes. Remove from pan; cool completely. Wrap and store overnight. Makes 1 loaf (16 slices). shopping list
