How to make it

  • Dice potatoes and chop onion
  • place in large pot and add water just to cover
  • drop in 2 chicken bouillons
  • add butter and bring to a boil
  • dice turkey ham (if not using already diced ham)
  • add ham to potatoes after boiling begins
  • continue to boil until potatoes are done
  • add can milk
  • stir and fill with rest of milk (may take more or less milk depending on pot size)
  • add salt and pepper to taste
  • let simmer until milk is warmed, but not boiling
  • garnish with cheese when serving
  • serve with biscuits or cracker
  • **sometimes I use 1 pint of whipping cream instead of can milk for a richer, creamier taste**
