This is a spin on traditional potato soup! Goes great with homemade garlic butter cheese drop biscuits or crackers! Big hit at my house!!

Ingredients
  • 4 to 6 medium to large potatoes
  • 1 small turkey ham or 1 pkg diced ham
  • 1 can milk
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/2 gallon milk
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 2 chicken bouillons
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (any kind you like)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Dice potatoes and chop onion
  2. place in large pot and add water just to cover
  3. drop in 2 chicken bouillons
  4. add butter and bring to a boil
  5. dice turkey ham (if not using already diced ham)
  6. add ham to potatoes after boiling begins
  7. continue to boil until potatoes are done
  8. add can milk
  9. stir and fill with rest of milk (may take more or less milk depending on pot size)
  10. add salt and pepper to taste
  11. let simmer until milk is warmed, but not boiling
  12. garnish with cheese when serving
  13. serve with biscuits or cracker
  14. **sometimes I use 1 pint of whipping cream instead of can milk for a richer, creamier taste**
