Scallion Pancakes Recipe
Not the traditional American style pancakes,but rather the chinese version. Very nutty flavor and delicious eaten hot.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup cold water
  • 1 bunch green onions, finely sliced
  • roasted sesame seed oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Soy sauce, for dipping

Directions
  1. Mix the flour and water and knead until a smooth soft dough forms. Keep aside to rest, covered, for at least 15 minutes. Divide the dough into small balls depending on the size of the pancake you wish to make.
  2. Take each ball and roll it out into a pancake. Sprinkle with salt, green onions, and sesame seed oil. Fold the pancake and roll out again.
  3. Fry each scallion pancake until golden brown as you would a regular pancake.
