Ingredients
  • Rice
  • Tomatoes (paste / freshly ground)
  • Hot ground chilli pepper
  • Preferred spices (e.g. Garlic, aniseed, rosemary, white pepper etc)
  • Onions
  • Cooking oil
  • Water
  • Vegetable (e.g. Carrots, Green pepper, French beans etc)
  • Chicken (or any desired meat)
  • Salt to taste

Directions
  1. Cut the chicken into manageable sizes, season and boil
  2. Fry chicken
  3. Cut onions and other vegetables
  4. Mix tomatoe with a little water if paste
  5. Put sauce pan on fire and add oil
  6. Fry onions for two minutes
  7. Add two teaspoons of chile pepper
  8. Stir and allow to cook for three minutes
  9. Add tomato paste and stir over low heat
  10. Allow to boil until the oil begins to show on the surface
  11. Add vegetables, salt to taste and other spices
  12. Add fried chicken
  13. Allow to cook into a thick stew
  14. Take all the pieces of chicken and some stew
  15. Add rice to stew and mix
  16. Add enough water to get rice cooked
  17. Allow to cook over low heat and stir occassionally until rice tenderizes
  18. Jellof rice is ready
  19. Serve with stew and chicken already taken
  20. Add already prepared salad or spagetti
