Gingered Chicken with Honey

- 1 whole chicken,cut into serving pcs shopping list
- all purpose flour for dredging shopping list
- Marinade: shopping list
- 1/3 cup rice wine shopping list
- 1/2 cup cornstarch shopping list
- 1/2 tspn salt shopping list
- 2 tspn pepper shopping list
- Sauce: shopping list
- 2 tbspn oyster sauce shopping list
- 3 tbspn lemon juice shopping list
- 1/3 cup honey shopping list
- 1/4 cup soy sauce shopping list
- 2 tbspn chili garlic sauce shopping list
- 1 tbspn shredded ginger shopping list
- 2 tbspn cornstarch shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- chopped spring onions for garnish shopping list
How to make it
- 1.In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for marinade.
- 2.Mix the chicken into the bowl and coat thoroughly with the marinade.Ser aside for 1hr in the refrigerator.
- 3.After an hour, heat the pan with enough oil to deep fry the chicken.
- 4.Discard the marinade, coat each piece of chicken in flour and fry in medium heat till cooked through and golden.
- 5.Drain excess oil with paper towels.
- 6.In a large saucepan, mix together the ingredients for the sauce and boil till thick and syrupy.
- 7.Toss in all the chicken pieces in the sauce until well coated.
- 8.Garnish with chopped spring onions.
