Ingredients
  • 1 lb. garbanzo beans (soak over night)
  • The remnants of a spiral-cut ham (the more meat on the bone the meatier your soup will be)
  • 1 large sweet onion, chopped
  • a few drops of Colgin Liquid Smoke
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions
  1. Discard the water the beans soaked in
  2. Combine all ingredients in a pot large enough (make sure there's still at least a couple inches of room)
  3. Add enough water to just cover all ingredients
  4. Heat on high to boiling
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for 4-6 hours
