The Best Ham and Bean Soup Ever

- 1 lb. garbanzo beans (soak over night) shopping list
- The remnants of a spiral-cut ham (the more meat on the bone the meatier your soup will be) shopping list
- 1 large sweet onion, chopped shopping list
- a few drops of Colgin liquid smoke shopping list
- salt and pepper, to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Discard the water the beans soaked in
- Combine all ingredients in a pot large enough (make sure there's still at least a couple inches of room)
- Add enough water to just cover all ingredients
- Heat on high to boiling
- Reduce heat and simmer for 4-6 hours
