Ingredients
  • 3 c. apples, shredded
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 c. nuts
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp soda
  • 1/2 c. br sugar
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 c. butter

Directions
  1. Mix sugar and apples, Let stand until sugar is dissolved. Add eggs, mix well. Add flour, soda and nuts. Bake at 350 for 30 min. Pour sauce over cake immediately after taking from oven.
  2. Brown butter and brown sugar. Add remaining ingredients and boil until thick. Pour over hot cake.
