How to make it

  • for the barbecue:
  • in a marinating dish, put in the chicken quarters
  • mix the barbecue marinade ingredients together
  • marinade the chicken in the mixture for an hour and a half
  • after an hour and a half, barbecue the chicken on a charcoal grill and cook to until done (or to desired preference)
  • for the java rice:
  • in a wok, put in oil
  • when hot, add in the cooked rice
  • add the ketchup and soy sauce
  • mix until the rice has a yellowish-orange color
  • serve with the barbecue chicken

    Cooked this and it was delicious! The chicken took 1 1/2 hours to cook and the rice was fast. I used the same marinade sauce for the rice. It was great. I served the BBQ chicken with rice and steamed green beans. Great dinner!
