Barbecue Chicken Quarters with Java Rice

- for the barbecue marinade shopping list
- 2 chicken quarters shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups soy sauce shopping list
- 2 cups of ketchup shopping list
- 5 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 3 tsp sugar shopping list
- 2 tsp ground pepper shopping list
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil shopping list
- for the java rice shopping list
- 1 tbsp cooking oil shopping list
- 2 cups of cooked rice, cooled shopping list
- 1/2 cup ketchup shopping list
- 1/2 cup soy sauce shopping list
How to make it
- for the barbecue:
- in a marinating dish, put in the chicken quarters
- mix the barbecue marinade ingredients together
- marinade the chicken in the mixture for an hour and a half
- after an hour and a half, barbecue the chicken on a charcoal grill and cook to until done (or to desired preference)
- for the java rice:
- in a wok, put in oil
- when hot, add in the cooked rice
- add the ketchup and soy sauce
- mix until the rice has a yellowish-orange color
- serve with the barbecue chicken

Cooked this and it was delicious! The chicken took 1 1/2 hours to cook and the rice was fast. I used the same marinade sauce for the rice. It was great. I served the BBQ chicken with rice and steamed green beans. Great dinner!
