Chilly Prawns

- 750 grams prawns shopping list
- 1 tbs Chilly powder or cayenne powder shopping list
- 1 tsp turmeric powder shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- oil for frying shopping list
- Fresh curry leaves washed and drained well shopping list
How to make it
- Remove the shells from the prawns leaving the tentacles still attached.
- Devein the back of the prawns and wash with salt. Rinse of salt and drain.
- Add the chilly powder, turmeric and salt to taste.
- Give it a good mix ensuring that all the prawns are well marinated.
- Heat oil in a wok.
- When hot, drop prawns in one at a time and fry till tentacles are crisp.
- Remove and drain on a kitchen towel.
- Once all the prawns have been fried, drop the curry leaves and once splattering ceases, remove and drain.
- Serve the prawns hot with the crisp curry leaves as garnish.
