- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 cup light cream shopping list
- 3 cups flour shopping list
- 2 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp.nutmeg shopping list
- 1 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
- cooking oil or lard shopping list
- Confectioner's sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Beat eggs, then add sugar and cream and beat again. Sift flour, baking powder salt, and spices together. Mix dry ingredients into the egg mixture with a fork to make a soft dough. (Do not over mix. Dough should be sticky.)
- Work with a little dough at a time. Place dough on floured board and pat into rectangles three inches wide and one inch thick. Slice one-inch strips with floured knife and drop into hot oil.
- Fry until brown and puffy, about 30 seconds. The mullins should turn on their own, but if they do not, carefully nudge them over on their bacs to brown both sides. Drain on paper towels.Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.
- Enjoy!
