Crusty wheat french Bread

- 1 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 1 T vegetable oil shopping list
- 2 T dry milk shopping list
- 2 c all-purpose flour shopping list
- 2 c whole wheat pastry flour shopping list
- 2 t sugar shopping list
- 2 t sea salt shopping list
- 2 t active dry yeast shopping list
- 1 egg white, whisked with 1 T cold water (to be brushed near end of baking) shopping list
How to make it
- add first 8 ingrediants to bread machine
- select dough setting
- punch down bread and then let rise for 45 minutes to 1 hour
- knead lightley and form into two loaves
- slit tops, cover with towel and let rise another hour
- preheat oven to 400
- place pie plate on lower rack of oven fill 1 inch with boiling water
- bake 15 minutes
- lower heat to 350 and bake another 25 minutes
- 5 minutes before done brush with egg white mixture
