Ingredients
  • 1 pkg. Jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water

Directions
  1. Stir 1 cup boiling water into gelatin in medium bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved
  2. Stir in 1 cup cold water
  3. Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm
  4. ***Special Twist***
  5. Prepare gelatin as directed, substituting 1 cup cold seltzer, club soda, diet carbonated lemon-lime beverage or diet iced tea for cold water
  6. To prepare with orange juice, use 1 1/2 cups boiling water and 1/2 cup cold orange juice
  7. ***Easy Fruit Parfait***
  8. Prepare gelatin as pkg. directs; pour into tall dessert or parfait glasses, filling about half full
  9. Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm
  10. To serve, layer with Cool Whip/whipped topping and your favorite fresh fruit or use well drained canned fruit
  11. ***To Add Fruit or Vegetables***
  12. Refrigerate gelatin 1 1/2 hours or until thickened
  13. Stir in 3/4 to 1 1/2 cups chopped fruit or vegetables (well-drained, if using canned)
  14. Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm
  15. DO NOT USE: fresh or frozen pineapple, kiwi, gingerroot, papaya, figs or guava - GELATIN WILL NOT SET
  16. ***Speed Set Method***
  17. Stir 3/4 cup boiling water into gelatin in bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved
  18. Mix 1/2 cup cold water and ice cubes to make 1 1/4 cups
  19. Add to gelatin; stir until slightly thickened
  20. Remove remaining ice
  21. Refrigerate 30 minutes for soft-set or 1 - 1 1/2 hours until firm
  22. ***Jigglers***
  23. 2 1/2 cups boiling water or boiling apple juice (Do NOT add cold water)
  24. 4 pkg. (4 serving size) Jello Gelatin Dessert, any flavor
  25. Stir boiling water or boiling juice into gelatin in large bowl at least 3 minutes until completely dissolved
  26. Pour into 13x9 inch pan
  27. Refrigerate at least 3 hours or until firm
  28. dip bottom of pan in warm water about 15 seconds
  29. Cut into decorative shapes with cookie cutters all the way through the gelatin
  30. Lift from pan
  31. Makes about 24 pieces
