How to make it

  • Put oat flakes and yogurt in a bowl.
  • Wash apples or peel if preferred.
  • Grate 1 apple and mix into the bowl.
  • Cut the other in pieces, remove core, then add it into the bowl and mix well.
  • Add honey according to your own taste.
  • Add a bit of milk to prevent the Birchermüesli from being too stiff.
  • Chill and serve. Or serve immediately.
  • *Variations:
  • You may add 2 to 3 tablespoons of ground almonds and/or hazelnuts.
  • Take any kind of berries, oranges or other fruits instead of/or in addition to the apples. I normally put in bananas as well. Add a finishing touch using some berries.
