Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup ( 185 ml ) chocolate chips
  • 1/4 lb ( 110 gm ) butter
  • 1/4 cup ( 60 ml ) white sugar
  • 1/2cup ( 125 ml ) brown sugar
  • 1 pc. egg whole
  • 1 cup ( 250 ml ) oat meal
  • 1/2 tsp ( 2ml ) iodized salt
  • 1/2 tsp ( 2ml ) baking soda
  • grated rind of 1 orange

Directions
  1. preheat oven to 375F ( 190C )
  2. cream, butter and brown sugar together until light and fluffy
  3. add egg beat thoroughly
  4. sift flour, salt and baking soda into mixture and beat
  5. stir in orange rind, oatmeal and chocolate chips
  6. greese baking sheet / wax paper
  7. rolls teaspoonful of mixture into balls
  8. place in a wax paper / baking sheet and press with a fork
  9. bake for about 10 minutes until golden brown
  10. cool and serve.
