- 3 1/2 c flour shopping list
- 1 c whole wheat flour shopping list
- 2 tbs yeast shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp sugar shopping list
- 2 c hot water (as hot as your tap can produce no hotter than that!) shopping list
- salsa shopping list
- garlic (I use lots!) shopping list
- oregano, basil (has to be fresh!) shopping list
- Mozarella cheese shopping list
- Pizza toppings to you own preference shopping list
How to make it
- PIZZA DOUGH
- Stir dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- Add water, mix well.
- Knead on floured surface for 5 min, until smooth and elastic.
- Let dough rise until double its original size (about an hour)
- BAKING THE PIZZA
- - Form dough to desired thickness (dough will rise on the grill) and oil both sides (I usually use about half the dough for one pizza crust; dependant on how large your bbq is)
- - place formed dough on hot bbq grill (let dough bake until grill marks visible on one side) Dont worry if the dough doesnt look like a perfect shape **
- - flip over and immediately add salsa to what is now pizza crust (do this quickly)
- - add chopped garlic and herbs to desired amount as well as the rest of your pizza ingredients
- - top pizza with cheese (it will help the ingredients stay in place)
- - lessen the heat on your bbq to let cheese melt without burning pizza (make sure to close the bbq lid)
- - once cheese is melted slide pizza off the grill onto a cutting board and serve as desired
- ** If your bbq has more than two elements turn off the middle element and leave the outer elements on medium temp.
- If you only have a bbq with two elements turn one on low and the other on medium temp. Rotate pizza.
