How to make it

  • Combined the first 4 ingredients, in a sauce pan and bring to a simmer ,
  • Stirring over med heat for about 4 mins – or until candy thermometer reads 240 or 245
  • Remove from heat and add cream, stir to blend , then add the nuts and blend toughly and coat well
  • Pour into the tart pan and spread evenly – bake at 350 for 15 to 25 mins or until crust is brown – let cool completely
