Anyone read it? This has to be one of my top reads of the year.

The novel takes place in the years after WWII, and is comprised of letters between a writer in London, and a pig farmer (amoung other wonderful characters) on Guernsey Island; a small Channel Island. The pig farmer has come into the possesion of a used book that had once belonged to the lady-author, and writes to her to inquire where he might find similar books. A friendship blossoms, and through these amazing letters, you get to know the villagers and Londoners alike, sharing thier trials and tribulations, romances and heartache.

Seriously, read it. It's just that good. Might even make you crave a slice of potato peel pie (though I doubt it!)

    Cheers,
