What's for lunch this fine Sunday?

Good Morning! Drinking hot tea with honey and contemplating the day. Need to blanch some tomatoes to freeze before they get over ripe. I also want to roast some beets this morning before it gets too warm in the house. Only 43f right now, but is supposed to get to 84f today so not real hot.

What are your plans for today, in the kitchen or out?

Woke up at 9:00 am. a little late, but hey it's Sunday. Wiping the dust from my eyes and sipping on my coffee.. YEP MMMM COFFEE! Lunch, hmmm, what to have. I am thinking of a italian turkey, lettuce, cheese, tortilla wrap. Staring at my planters outside, wondering when to dispose of the dying tomato plant. Struggling cucumbers. The front yard is a mess, but under plans for a raised garden next year. Not sure of the temp. today, but will find myself outside on my patio reclining after I scrub my grill for burgers tonight.

Beshy, your morning sounds nice. Have never had Italian turkey, but just the sound of it "smells" nice. And sitting relaxing on the patio sounds to die for!

We went and played 18 holes of golf this morning . It was 48*F when we went . Beautiful blue sky , and no wind . No lunch ,( or breakfast ) for us today . When we got home , SO went to see his 93 yr. old mom , and I made my first ever from scratch pie crust . It was fun . Sauteed up some 'shrooms , spinach , and green onions . Then made a quiche . Have a small bone in pork roast , getting happy with Semi's rub . Cleaned up the kitchen , and am now sitting on my behind watching football . ( adult beverage at hand ;) . ) Have a nice Sunday !

I have never tried golfing, have intended to but it has never come together at the right time. Glad your SO is getting some mom time, that gives you some you time! Congrats on your pie crust, if it is not the best crust you have ever eaten don't fret, the filling will make up for it! Can you send some off to Wyoming? Hubs is not a shroom lover and to me they are just yummy!

Since it was Gym day. I had a smoothie, made with

    1 whole banana
    4 ounces frozen mixed berries
1/2 cup the Greek Gods Honey Flavored yogurt, and
1/2 cup Almond Breeze unsweetened vanilla almond milk

Then proceeded to spill more than half all over the counter before I got a chance to drink any of it. LOL!

    DAMN IT JIM!!

Sounds yummy Semi! I love Greek Gods honey yogurt, that stuff is almost too good.

Mr. Spock, come give bones a mind meld to take away the pain!

hehehe love it Semi! Though I hate that you lost out on all that good stuff. If you keep going with the gym and yummy smoothies, "Bones" will be an appropriate moniker.
