So much more

I had a call today from an individual interested in pursueing a career as a vegan/raw chef. He asked what I was doing. What were the real options. I told him that when I went the route of changing my dietary lifestyle (i am not purely raw, but it has its place, and the greens always make me feel at my peak) I realized that he is marching into uncharted territory, and there is so much surrounding this raw food thing.

The same with the vegan...cooked or not.

Its about health. Choice. Environmental, political and social issues come to light as you start paying attention to what you consume.

I've met people, like myself, who play up the culinary aspect and use it to elicite inspiration towards a simple healthy life.

I've met people using it as a no nonsense, anti medicine apporach to over coming terminal disease.

I've met people who are so high off the greens and superfoods I think I'd like to meet them in a year when they settle down :)

So.....I created this group in this webpage because there isn't already one. There is a huge base of foodies here.

Great salads? Dressings? Juice ideas? Tonics for health and sickness? Desserts (everyones favourite) Organic, local discussions about all things vegan or not? Please post your thought, rants and recipes.

    Cheers!

I swear! Its better than it sounds.......I'm feeling a little "cooked" after the holidays and last nights new years drinks topped with a greasy (yummy) eggplant pita...mmmmm......However...I used my fridge as a pharmacy and loaded the blender.

*All ingredients local and organic...minus the banana and lemon

•Handful of Cilantro (fresh), & Italian Fresh Parsley
    •Handful of Mixed Greens
    •Handful of Sunflower Sprouts
    •Half Banana
    •Peeled Bosc Pear
    • Light Pinch of Cayenne Pepper, Hym. Crystal Salt
    •Juice of Half a Lemon
    •2 Cups of Water

Its smooth and liquid after blended on high for 30 seconds....however....sip it. Everything needs saliva to digest properly! Try to have this on a light or empty stomach.

    Enjoy!
