Sonoma Hangar Steak With Cabernet Butter

 Hangar Steak with Cabernet Butter

This is my approximation of a dish I first had at the Equus Restaurant in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County. Good red wine, local herbs, and steak! What's not to like?

Beef Tenderloin With Creamy Risotto

The Risotto is great! Go easy on the mustard and add garlic also. The trick here is finding a great cut of meat for the steaks. Looks beautiful plated.

This dish is old fashion dish that brings back memories of better times and ways. The sauce has such flavor no wonder its the houses favorite at Granny's. Nothing goes better than Mash Potatos and Green Beans. (You will need to double it a few times but its worth it)

Thai Boba Or Bubble Tea

Bubble tea, boba milk tea, and pearl milk are some of the other names for this drink. Originating in Taiwan in the 80's, it quickly spread to Japan and other parts of Asia like wildfire. Bubble bars have sprouted like mushrooms all over the US and Canada and will hit European shores very soon.
The pearl or ball refers to the tapioca or cassava root found at the bottom of the glass. The pearls have been caramelized to a dark blackish color and have a consistency between jelly babies and jelly -- they are sucked up through a thick straw and give you something to chew on between sips. These drinks are usually made with either black or green tea and are shaken in martini shaker with ice cubes.
From Adriana Bundy's Great Cookbook -Sweet Altenative which has more than 100 recipes Without Gluten, Dairy and Soy
