Sour Cream Cornbread

I don't make this often because I eat too much of it. I love cornbread and I eat this straight out of the oven with butter on it. But even without the butter, this cornbread is moist and not dry at all.

Peanut Brittle

This recipe was given to me when I lived in South Georgia - in peanut country. One of the elderly ladies in my church gave this to me when I asked her what I could do with so many raw peanuts that one of the local farmers gave me. Timing is critical on this recipe as she didn't give me a temperature for the candy to reach. She just said "why, honey, we didn't have thermometers back then and you just time it on your clock and it'll turn out just fine". Well, I tried it and it was awsome. I hope you enjoy it too.

Company Sweet Potatoes

My friend at work shared this basic recipe. I added a few flavorings to make it my own. The topping is my favorite part. Hope you like it as much as me.

Killer Beans

My mother has made these for as long as I can remember for our Christmas "ham dinner". I made them one time for a picnic with friends and they joked with me that they were great beans, but were a "killer" due to the gassiness you might get from them. They are not that "gassy", but if you have problems, a little beano will help. (sorry to be so graphic).

Honey Peanut Butter Balls

I used to make this for my son as a better alternative to candy bars. I had lost the recipe years ago, but found it recently in a book of "healthy eating" recipes. Enjoy.

Chucks Chicken And Rice Casserole

My mother's best friend gave me this recipe (she got it from her son). I've seen variations of this recipe in church cookbooks, but with regular long grain rice. I used to make this when my son was a teenager and this actually filled him up! Enjoy.
