Extra Sourdough Bread

If sourdough bread doesn't have that sour tang, it just shouldn't be called Sourdough! The starter for this recipe takes days to ferment for that extra sour flavor but its well worth the time. Once your starter has fermented, you can make sourdough bread daily in your home. I have to give full credit to Emeril Legasse for his basic starter recipe. He uses active yeast in the starter which is different from other recipes for sourdough. What makes my recipe different is that I let the starter bloom longer to develop that incredible sour flavor in the dough.
