Shrimp Stuffed Mushrooms

So I joined the I give you Four and you give me more group. One of the four is Spinach, lemon, mushrooms and almonds."What do you want to do with these ingredients?" A reasonable question, the response of, "Beats the hell out of me!" ...................is not well received and I am afraid that, it might be acted upon. Now, come on you have to admit that is not the smartest phrase that we ever came up with. All it does is put a kernel of an idea into someone's head that they might act upon. My family has a tradition of trying to make something out of nothing. My mother's step mom (a real witch) it took a house falling on her to finely send her to her just rewards. We still have the shoes she was wearing. Did you know that flying monkeys are not house broken? So where was I? Spinach... lemon,...mushrooms... almonds... I give you four, you give me more group..what to do with...ok I'm back! So this is what I came up with.

Moms Church Bazaar Apple Dumplings

This recipe is tried and true! My Mom and her church ladies have used it every year for their annual bazaar. It may seem daunting at first, but after you have done it once, it is super easy and oh ..so...worth it!

Low Fat Hot Krab Fondue

I posted a Crab Fondue recipe earlier and thought I would try a low fat version. It works very well and with using imitation crab it cuts the cost considerably. We are able to find imitation crab for about $2.00 lb and the real stuff is $8.00 lb plus. Using the reduced fat ingredients does not change how rich this turns out.
I have been seeing a few fondue recipes posted lately. For those of you not used to fondue, it is just a nice slow meal, great for casual gatherings if no one is in a hurry. Gives people a chance to chat since there is no way to eat it fast.

The Queens Mashed Potatoes

My mom made these once when I was a wee sprite and I never forgot them. You'll never make ordinary mashers again! My family inhales them, regardless of what else is on the table! In the rare event that you do have leftovers, they make excellent potato patties in the morning with your eggs & ham. Put small spoonsful on hot frying pan & flatten a bit, cook till browned, flip and repeat. Serve with your eggs & meat and you'll be licking your chops all day. Verrry satisfying!
