Creamy Pear Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • TOPPING:
  • 1 c sour cream
  • 1/3 c white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp lemon extract
  • 4 c peeled & sliced pears
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 2 tbsps butter or margarine, melted
  •  
  • 2 tbsps brown sugar
  • 2 tbsps all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat the oven to 400F degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Step #2 In a large bowl, stir this together the white sugar & 2 tbsps flour.
  • Step #3 Add pears, & toss to coat.
  • Step #4 Stir in the sour cream & vanilla, lemon & almond extracts until the pears are evenly coated.
  • Step #5 Pour into the unbaked pie shell.
  • Step #6 In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 c flour & brown sugar.
  • Step #7 Mix in the butter with your fingers until the mixture is crumbly.
  • Step #8 Sprinkle top evenly over the top of the pie.
  • Step #9 Bake for 10 mins in the preheated oven, then reduce the temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #10 Bake for an extra 45 mins, or until pears are tender.
