Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 c quick-cooking oats
  • 1 1/4 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 c miniature semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 c buttermilk
  • 3/4 c packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 c butter, softened
  • 1/2 c peanut butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Grease cookie sheets.
  • Step #3 Stir together the flour, oats, baking soda & salt; set aside.
  • Step #4 In a medium bowl, cream together butter & brown sugar until smooth.
  • Step #5 Stir in the peanut butter & buttermilk.
  • Step #6 Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, then fold in chocolate chips.
  • Step #7 Roll dough into walnut-sized balls & place them 2 inches apart onto the prepared cookie sheets.
  • Step #8 Use a fork dipped in flour to flatten the balls slightly.
  • Step #9 Bake for 8 to 10 mins in the preheated oven, until lightly brown at the edges.
  • Step #10 Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.
