Tomato Dumplings Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 small onion or 1 medium onion .
  • 2 c flour .
  • DUMPLINGS .
  • pepper .
  • salt .
  • 30 oz tomatoes, with equal amounts water (or two cans) .
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine .
  • 3/4 c milk

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine first 5 ingredients together.
  • Step #2 Let boil for about 5 mins.
  • Step #3 Then turn down heat, cover, & let simmer while making dumplings.
  • Step #4 Combine the flour & milk to make dumplings.
  • Step #5 It will be sticky.
  • Step #6 Drop into tomato pot, by tsp (they will expand).
  • Step #7 Cover up & let this stand, on low heat, for about 30 mins or more.
  • Step #8 DO NOT OPEN LID until time is up.
