Ingredients
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary .
  • 1 c milk .
  • 1/2 c dry white wine .
  • 2 large garlic cloves, minced .
  • 5/8 c polenta or cornmeal .
  • 3 leaves fresh sage .
  • 1 bay leaf .
  • 6 boneless pork chops .
  • fresh ground black pepper .
  • 1 c meat broth .
  • salt .
  • 7 tbsps unsalted butter

Directions
  • Step #1 preheat your trusty oven to 300F degrees.
  • Step #2 melt butter in a 12 inch flameproof casserole.
  • Step #3 add chops & saute over medium-high heat, turning to brown on both sides, about 8-10 mins.
  • Step #4 sprinkle garlic, sage,bayleaf, & rosemary needles.
  • Step #5 bathe pork chops & herbs in white wine & cook over medium high heat & turning until the wine has evaporated, about 10-15 mins.
  • Step #6 mix together milk, broth, & polenta.
  • Step #7 after a few mins, add polenta mixture to the pan, lifting each chop & making sure the mixture gets underneath.
  • Step #8 stir well to incorporate the polenta mixture & the pan juices.
  • Step #9 sprinkle salt & pepper over the top.
  • Step #10 put entire mixture in the oven for 30-40 mins.
  • Step #11 Add more broth if needed, until polenta is thick, yet soft & creamy.
  • Step #12 Remove & discard bay leaf.
  • Step #13 Serve as soon as possible.
