Chocolate Cobbler Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 c boiling water
  • 3/4 c white sugar
  • 1/4 c unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 1 1/2 tbsps unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 c white sugar
  • 1 c self-rising flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 6 tbsps butter

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Melt butter in an 8x8 inch baking dish while the oven preheats.
  • Step #3 In a medium bowl, stir this together the flour, 3/4 c sugar, & 1 1/2 tbsps cocoa.
  • Step #4 Stir in milk & vanilla until smooth.
  • Step #5 Spoon this batter over the melted butter in the baking dish.
  • Step #6 Stir together the remaining c of sugar & 1/4 c cocoa powder.
  • Step #7 Sprinkle top over the batter.
  • Step #8 Slowly pour boiling water over the top of the mixture.
  • Step #9 Bake for 30 mins in the preheated oven, until set.
  • Step #10 Serve slightly warm with ice cream.
