Sangria Peaches Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps triple sec (or other orange-flavored liqueur) .
  • 2 tbsps brandy (peach or apricot flavored types are especially good) .
  • 1 tsp lemon zest .
  • 1 (6 oz) can orange juice concentrate .
  • 1 tbsp sugar .
  • 2 c fruity red wine .
  • 2 tsps lemon juice, fresh .
  • 2 lbs peaches, ripe but firm, peeled & sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Using a heavy saucepan, mix all the syrup ingredients (wine through lemon zest).
  • Step #2 Bring to a boil over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #3 Reduce heat & let simmer for 5 mins.
  • Step #4 Taste.
  • Step #5 If needed, or both, add an extra tbsp of Triple Sec or sugar, to adjust to your own taste.
  • Step #6 It should be pleasantly sweet.
  • Step #7 Continue simmering another 5 mins.
  • Step #8 Remove from heat & let cool at least 10 mins.
  • Step #9 Place the peaches in a bowl, & pour the syrup over the peaches.
  • Step #10 Cover up the bowl & put in the fridge at least 4 hrs.
  • Step #11 Serve peaches chilled with some of the syrup spooned over them.
