Ingredients
1 1/2 c sliced pecans
2 tsps ground cinnamon
4 1/2 c all-purpose flour
1/4 c corn syrup
1 c sugar
1/4 c butter or margarine, melted
1/2 c butter or margarine
1/2 c butter or margarine, softened
FILLING:
3 tbsps baking cocoa
1/3 c sugar
1 tsp salt
1 (.25 oz) package active dry yeast
1 c packed brown sugar
3/4 c warm milk (110 to 115 degrees F)
2 tbsps baking cocoa
1 1/3 c warm water (110 degrees to 115 degrees)

SYRUP:
Directions
Step #1 In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.
Step #2 Add the milk, sugar, butter, salt, egg & 1-1/2 c flour.
Step #3 Beat on medium speed for 2-3 mins or until smooth.
Step #4 Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.
Step #5 Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth & elastic, about 6-8 mins.
Step #6 Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top.
Step #7 Cover & let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hr.
Step #8 Meanwhile, for syrup, mix the brown sugar, butter, corn syrup & cocoa in a saucepan.
Step #9 Bring to a boil; boil & stir for 1 min.
Step #10 Pour into two greased 9-in.
Step #11 round or square baking pans; sprinkle with pecans.
Step #12 Set aside.
Step #13 For filling, mix the sugar, cocoa & cinnamon; set aside.
Step #14 Punch dough down.
Step #15 Turn onto a lightly floured surface; divide in half.
Step #16 Roll each into a 12-in.
Step #17 x 10-in.
Step #18 rectangle; brush with melted butter.
Step #19 Sprinkle top filling to within 1/2 in.
Step #20 of edges.
Step #21 Roll up, jelly-roll style, starting with a short side; pinch seam to seal.
Step #22 Cut each into nine slices; place, cut side down, over syrup & pecans.
Step #23 Cover & let rise until doubled, about 1 hr.
Step #24 Bake at 375 degrees F for 20-25 mins or until well browned.
Step #25 Cool in pans for 1 min before inverting onto serving plates.
