Fettuccini With Creamy Gorgonzola Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 oz cream cheese, cut into 1/2 inch cubes .
  • 2 tbsps butter .
  • 1/2 c heavy cream or milk .
  • 1/2 c parmesan cheese, freshly grated .
  • 4 oz gorgonzola, cut into small pieces .
  • 1 lb fettuccine .
  • fresh ground black pepper

Directions
  • Step #1 Cook fettucini according to package directions.
  • Step #2 In a large saucepan, melt the butter.
  • Step #3 Mix in the cream or milk & heat carefully, not allowing it to boil.
  • Step #4 Add the Gorgonzolo & cream cheese, stirring frequentlly until they are melted & the sauce is smooth.
  • Step #5 Add freshly ground black pepper.
  • Step #6 When pasta is al dente, drain it & mix it into the sauce.
  • Step #7 Toss well to coat the pasta & serve as soon as possible.
  • Step #8 Pass the grated Parmesan at the table.
