Baked Figs In Brandy And Wine Syrup Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 cinnamon stick .
  • 1 tbsp caster sugar .
  • 1/4 c brandy .
  • 12 figs .
  • lemon zest, strip .
  • 2 c red wine

Directions
  • Step #1 Place all ingredients in a casserole.
  • Step #2 Cover up with foil wrap, punching a few holes in the foil wrap.
  • Step #3 Preheat oven to 190 Degrees Celsius.
  • Step #4 Bake for 40 mins.
  • Step #5 Allow figs to cool in the syrup, then remove & reduce syrup to half in a small saucepan over a medium flame.
  • Step #6 Serve figs with syrup & yoghurt or ice cream.
