• 3 tbsps maple syrup

• 2 (2.1 oz) bars Butterfinger candy, sliced
• 3/4 c packed brown sugar

• Step #1 In a mixing bowl, cream shortening & sugars.
• Step #2 Beat in egg, syrup & vanilla.
• Step #3 Combine oats, flour, baking soda & salt; slowly add to the creamed mixture.
• Step #4 Stir in chocolate chips & candy bars.
• Step #5 Roll into 1-in.
• Step #6 balls.
• Step #7 Place 2 in.
• Step #8 apart on ungreased baking sheets.
• Step #9 Bake at 375 degrees F for 7-9 mins or until golden brown.
• Step #10 Remove to wire racks to cool.
