Apple Cranberry Crunch Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6 c granny smith apples, peeled, cored, & sliced thin (approximately 6 medium apples) .
  • 1 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • Filling .
  • 1/8 tsp salt .
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour .
  • 1/4 tsp allspice .
  • 1 c brown sugar .
  • 1 c margarine, softened .
  • 2 c fresh cranberries, rinsed & drained .
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg .
  • 1 c quick oats .
  • 1 1/2 c granulated sugar .
  • 1 1/2 tsps cinnamon .
  • Topping

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 400F degrees.
  • Step #2 In a large mixing bowl, mix all dry filling ingredients together, then add the fruit & toss until well-coated.
  • Step #3 Place filling in a 9"x13" greased baking pan & set aside.
  • Step #4 In a medium bowl, mix all dry topping ingredients.
  • Step #5 Add margarine to dry ingredients, using a pastry mixer or fork to cut it in until well-mixed.
  • Step #6 Sprinkle top topping mixture over filling & bake for 40 mins.
