Bacon And Cheese Puffs Recipe

Ingredients
  • ground black pepper .
  • 1 tbsp grainy mustard .
  • beaten eggs .
  • 1 (375 g) packet puff pastry .
  • 110 g strong hard cheese, grated .
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 200C/400F/gas mark 6.
  • Step #2 Roll out pastry to the thickness of a 50p coin.
  • Step #3 Cut out four 5in/13cm squares.
  • Step #4 Spread a quarter of the mustard on each square, then lay two slices of bacon across each square on the diagonal.
  • Step #5 Sprinkle top grated cheese over bacon & season this with ground black pepper.
  • Step #6 Fold up the corners so they meet in the middle alng the length of the bacon & push down lightly into the centre of the square.
  • Step #7 Puf puffs onto a baking sheet & brush with beaten egg.
  • Step #8 Chill in frdige for 20 to 30 mins.
  • Step #9 Bake for 20 mins until cheese has melted & pastry is golden brown.
