Ingredients
  • 1 c brown sugar .
  • confectioners' sugar, for dusting .
  • 1/2 c milk .
  • 4 c all-purpose flour, plus .
  • 2 1/2 tsps baking powder .
  • 2 tbsps canola oil .
  • 1 1/2 tsps cinnamon .
  • 1 c unsalted butter, melted & cooled .
  • 1/2 c granulated sugar .
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 2 tsps vanilla extract .
  • 1 large egg

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 325F degrees.
  • Step #2 With cooking spray, coat a 9 by 12 inch pan & dust with 1 tbsp flour, tapping to remove excess flour.
  • Step #3 In a medium bowl,baking powder, granulated sugar, sift together 1 1/2 c flour, & salt;set aside.
  • Step #4 In a new bowl, milk, whisk egg,oil & vanilla.
  • Step #5 Fold dry ingredients into egg mixture;set aside.
  • Step #6 In a medium bowl, mix remaining 2 1/2 c flour,brown sugar,and cinnamon.
  • Step #7 Pour melted butter over flour mixture & toss until large crumbs form.
  • Step #8 Sprinkle top over cake batter.
  • Step #9 Bake cake for 10 mins, rotate pan, & bake for 10 mins more.
  • Step #10 Transfer to wire rack to cool.
  • Step #11 Dust with confectioners' sugar when cool.
  • Step #12 Cut into 3 inch squares.
