Cauliflower In Chilli Butter Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6-8 tbsps tomato chili sauce (we use Maggi Brand Tomato Chilli Sauce, & we use a LOT) .
  • 1/4 c water .
  • 1 head cauliflower .
  • 3/4-1 tsp fresh ground black pepper .
  • salt, to taste .
  • 5 tbsps sharp cheddar cheese, shredded .
  • black pepper, to taste .
  • 10 tbsps butter

Directions
  • Step #1 Break cauliflower up into bite sized pieces.
  • Step #2 Bring water to a boil & drop cauliflower in just briefly to get it to cook about 1/2 way.
  • Step #3 just til slightly cooked but not soft.
  • Step #4 Remove from heat & drain.
  • Step #5 Melt butter In a large-ish skillet over med-heat/flame, & add black pepper to it & sizzle just a few seconds.
  • Step #6 Add water & stir a bit.
  • Step #7 Add shredded cheese, & stir constantly, cooking over med-heat/flame until it melts into the butter sauce; it should thicken a bit.
  • Step #8 At this point, add the drained cauliflower & toss to cover with butter sauce.
  • Step #9 Add the tomato chilli sauce, & fold into the cauliflower until all is mixd.
  • Step #10 Allow it to cooked until cauliflower is tender & sauce really starts to coat the cauliflower.
  • Step #11 to serve, plate some cauliflower, ladel some sauce onto a plate, sprinkle salt & black pepper to taste, & shred some sharp cheddar over the top.
