Indian Spiced Fish Recipe

Ingredients
  • salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste .
  • 1 tsp turmeric .
  • 3 tbsps sesame seeds, toasted .
  • 1 tsp cumin .
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil .
  • 1 tsp paprika .
  • 2 large plaice fillets, cut in half lengthways (500-600g total) .
  • 1 tsp shichimi-togarashi, or .
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix the dry spices, salt & pepper on a plate.
  • Step #2 Lightly coat the fish fillets in the dry spice mixture.
  • Step #3 Leave to sit for 5-10 mins so the spices sink inches.
  • Step #4 Heat a frying pan with oil & fry the fish for 1-1/2 mins on each side.
