Step #1 Cut bacon into 1 inch pieces & cook in pan until translucent & alot of grease has come out.
Step #2 Drain grease & leave bacon in pan, add cut onion & olive oil.
Step #3 Cook & stir until onion turns a nice golden brown color.
Step #4 Cook pasta al dente (I like 11 mins timed), drain, place back in pot & add cooked bacon & onion.
Step #5 Add coarse black pepper.
Step #6 Variations:.
Step #7 If you like, you can use fresh cloves of garlic( about 11 cloves thinly sliced & saute until light golden color) instead of onion.
Step #8 You could also use less of the olive oil to coat pasta & add alittle of the water pasta was cooked in instead.
