Strawberries With Mascarpone And Balsamic Vinegar Recipe

Step #1 Place the hulled strawberries & whole strawberries in a bowl & crush lightly with a fork or potato masher, mix with the grenadine & set aside.
Step #2 Place peppercorns in a frying pan, dry roast on a stove for a few mins, allow this to cool & then coarsely crush using a mortar & pestle.
Step #3 In another bowl mix the caster sugar with the balsamic, vanilla & the liqueur or vodka, mix in the single cream.
Step #4 Beat the mascarpone until smooth & mix into the single cream mixture.
Step #5 Spoon a little of the crushed strawberries into the bottom of Martini glasses, wineglasses or Knickerbocker Glory glasses.
Step #6 Spoon over a little of the cream mix & sprinkle with some of the peppercorns.
Step #7 Repeat until the glasses are full, finishing with the cream & the final sprinkle of pepper.
Step #8 Garnish with whole or cut strawberries.
