Turkey Drums - Crock Pot Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (14 oz) can creamed corn .
  • 1 large onion, sliced .
  • The soup .
  • 1 c frozen carrots .
  • 1 tsp dried thyme .
  • 1/2-1 c turkey meat .
  • 1/2 tsp pepper, freshly ground .
  • 1 c frozen peas .
  • 1 large onion, sliced .
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • strained stock, from above .
  • The meat & stock .
  • 1/2 c dry white wine .
  • 1 tsp Tabasco sauce (pepper sauce) .
  • 1 tsp dried sage .
  • 4-6 big turkey drumsticks .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1 (14 oz) can chicken broth .
  • 1 (28 oz) can sliced tomatoes

Directions
  • Step #1 Remove the skin & all visible fat from the drumsticks, place this in crock pot.
  • Step #2 Add the can of chicken broth, onion, salt, pepper, sage & thyme.
  • Step #3 Cook on low for about 8 to 10 hrs depending on your crock pot, until meat is falling off the bone.
  • Step #4 Strain ; pick out the bones & discard, Add larger pieces of meat to a plastic freezer bag, seal & freeze.
  • Step #5 (For use in salads or sandwich spreads.
  • Step #6 ) Add smaller pieces of meat to the strained stock.
  • Step #7 Add to the stock: the onion, carrots, peas, sliced tomatoes, cream corn, wine & tabasco sauce.
  • Step #8 Taste & adjust seasoning with the salt & more pepper if desired.
  • Step #9 Bring to boil & let simmer for 30 mins.
