Pecan Toffee Bars Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 c confectioners' sugar .
  • 3 eggs .
  • 42 oz sweetened condensed milk .
  • 24 oz toffee pieces .
  • 3 c butter, chilled .
  • 3 c pecans, coarsely sliced .
  • 1 tbsp vanilla .
  • 6 c flour

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix flour & confectioners sugar in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  • Step #2 Cut in the chilled butter, until crumbly.
  • Step #3 Press mixture evenly in the bottom of an un-greased 9”x13” pan.
  • Step #4 Bake at 350F for 15 mins.
  • Step #5 In a medium mixing bowl, beat together the sweetened condensed milk, egg & vanilla until smooth.
  • Step #6 Stir in the pecans & the toffee chips.
  • Step #7 Spread over hot crust.
  • Step #8 Bake at 350F for an extra 25 mins.
  • Step #9 Cool overnight & then cut into bars.
  • Step #10 To Freeze: Put cut bars into a freezer bag or rigid container.
  • Step #11 (It's good if you put waxed paper in between so they stick) Seal, label & freeze.
  • Step #12 To Serve: Thaw in the refrigerator.
  • Step #13 Serve chilled or at about room temp.
  • Step #14 (I like them best chilled but that's up to you!).
