Step #1 Boil apples just until beginning to soften; drain well.
Step #2 Preheat oven to 350°F.
Step #3 Mix drained apples, flour, sugar & salt Beat eggs & vanilla together & add to apple mixture.
Step #4 Fold in sour cream.
Step #5 Pour into pie shell & bake approx.
Step #6 40 mins or until set.
Step #7 While pie is baking, prepare topping as follows:.
Step #8 Combine sugar, flour, ground cinnamon & softened butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Step #9 Remove pie from oven & sprinkle on topping.
Step #10 Bake for an extra 15 mins.
Step #11 Cool.
