Swedish Apple Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • Pie .
  • 1/3 c sugar .
  • 3/4 c granulated sugar .
  • 1 egg .
  • Topping .
  • 1/2 c sour cream .
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon .
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract .
  • 1 (10 inch) unbaked pie shells .
  • 2 tbsps flour .
  • 1/3 c flour .
  • 1/2 c softened butter .
  • 1 pinch salt .
  • 3 1/2 c sliced apples (I use Granny Smith)

Directions
  • Step #1 Boil apples just until beginning to soften; drain well.
  • Step #2 Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Step #3 Mix drained apples, flour, sugar & salt Beat eggs & vanilla together & add to apple mixture.
  • Step #4 Fold in sour cream.
  • Step #5 Pour into pie shell & bake approx.
  • Step #6 40 mins or until set.
  • Step #7 While pie is baking, prepare topping as follows:.
  • Step #8 Combine sugar, flour, ground cinnamon & softened butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Step #9 Remove pie from oven & sprinkle on topping.
  • Step #10 Bake for an extra 15 mins.
  • Step #11 Cool.
