Tofu Pastry Recipe

Ingredients
  • 250 g whole wheat flour .
  • 90 g firm tofu, cut into cubes .
  • 1 tsp baking powder .
  • extra flour .
  • 125 ml water .
  • 1 tbsp safflower oil

Directions
  • Step #1 Sift flour & baking power, making a well in the centre.
  • Step #2 Combine tofu & oil & add to the flour.
  • Step #3 Mix slightly slowly adding the water.
  • Step #4 Continue mixing until soft dough forms & then turn onto a floured surface & knead for 30 seconds only.
  • Step #5 Use as soon as possible as a base for any variety of pies & flans.
