Cream Can Supper Recipe

Ingredients
  • 12 bratwursts or other sausages (Italian sausages are good, as are spicier versions.) .
  • 3 (12 oz) cans beer .
  • 2 heads cabbage, quartered .
  • 12 ears corn on the cob, cut in half .
  • 12-15 potatoes, washed & cut in half .
  • salt & pepper, to taste .
  • 6 onions, left whole .
  • 12 carrots, cut into 3 to 4 inch chunks

Directions
  • Step #1 Layer potatoes, carrots, cabbage, onions, corn & sausages in the cream can in the order listed.
  • Step #2 Pour in the cans of beer & season this with salt & pepper.
  • Step #3 Cover up & steam on propane burner for one hr.
  • Step #4 Serve with buns for the sausages and/or plain white bread & butter.
