Burnt Butter Pecan Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 9 inches unbaked pie shells .
  • 1/2 c butter .
  • 1 c sugar .
  • 1 c sliced pecans .
  • 1 dash salt .
  • 1 c light Karo syrup .
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice .
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 3 large eggs, beaten

Directions
  • Step #1 brown butter in saucepan until it is a golden brown -- do not burn.
  • Step #2 let cool.
  • Step #3 in seperate bowl, add ingredients in order listed -- stir.
  • Step #4 mix in browned butter well.
  • Step #5 pour this into unbaked pie shell & bake this at 425* for 10 mins.
  • Step #6 then lower heat to 325* for 40 mins.
